Prisma Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia is seeking a skilled maintenance technician responsible for repairing and maintaining plumbing, HVAC, life safety, pumps, exhaust fans, and building automation systems across the hospital campus. Responsibilities include emergency response, preventive maintenance, testing backup generators and transfer switches, and supporting ETO Med Gas and other utilities.

A strong diagnostic ability and relevant licenses are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience working in a maintenance setting.
• Licensed in Journeyman Plumber, Journeyman Electrician, Licensed Stationary Engineer, or Mechanical/HVAC.
• EPA, NICET or Med Gas certifications preferred.
• Working knowledge of hospital utilities: HVAC, EPSS, Plumbing, elevator systems; building automation knowledge helpful.

Responsabilités

• Perform unscheduled and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems including A/C, boilers, chillers, pumps and associated electrical equipment.
• Respond to emergencies, perform PM duties and document work orders.
• Test backup generators and transfer switches; maintain automatic transfer switches and generators.
• Assist on ETO gas Med Gas/Vacuum leaks, power outages, HVAC and fire response tasks.
• Ensure compliance with DHEC and Joint Commission standards.
