Job summary

Hospital Authority in New Territories East Cluster is seeking a Hospital Foreman (Supporting Services) to lead teams and manage outsourced contracts in areas such as domestic and transportation services, pest control, gardening, waste management and staff accommodation.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ satisfactory HA service, or 2 years’ supervisory experience in related settings.
• Knowledge of common computer software including Microsoft Office and Chinese word processing.
• Good command of Chinese and English; able to supervise and coordinate staff.
• Willing to lead, train and manage supporting service staff.
• Experience with hospital systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead/supervise teams of staff and manage outsourced contracts (domestic, transport, pest control, gardening, waste, staff housing, emergencies).
• Regularly inspect wards, patient areas, units and staff accommodations.
• Liaise with department heads and service contractors to monitor performance.
• Handle emergencies, prepare logistics, reports and documentation for hospital managers.
• Prepare and review SOPs and work instructions.
• Support Hospital Resources Command Centre and assist in manpower planning and staff issues.
• Assist in complaint/incident investigations and follow-up actions.
• Control and maintain stock of materials and equipment.
• Perform shift duties, overtime when needed, and report during adverse weather.
• Monitor daily operations of outsourced contractors and staff, and perform other duties as assigned.
