Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare in Martin, TN seeks a Maintenance Mechanic I to maintain facility systems and equipment, providing a safe, comfortable environment for patient care. You will work five days a week, eight hours per day, with potential weekends or holidays and callbacks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Three years of building maintenance, plant operations, construction, or related experience.
• Journeyman’s License is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs repair and preventive maintenance in boiler room, electrical, plumbing, HVAC/refrigeration, and building systems.
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment malfunctions in specified systems.
• Monitors and responds to emergency situations; notifies appropriate personnel.
• Directs lower level maintenance staff and assists more advanced mechanics as needed.
