Job summary

Medxcel is seeking a qualified facilities technician to maintain and repair HVAC, steam, and energy systems at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. The role includes responding to emergencies, coordinating with teams, and following safety protocols on-site.

The position is full-time, day shift, at our Nashville facility, with opportunities for professional development and ongoing training in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification (level II preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent or trade school graduate
• 3 years of related experience or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and ice-making systems
• Applies specialized knowledge of steam distribution, piping, valves, water reheat systems, and energy management systems
• Responds to after-hours emergencies, manages power outage procedures, and follows safety protocols with PPE
• Coordinates with personnel regarding work orders, ensures compliance with building and safety regulations, and keeps tools/vehicles in safe condition
• Allocates 20% of time to meetings, training, and special projects

Education
