System Support at Upper Valley Medical Center is seeking a General Mechanic to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on engines, boilers, pumps, HVAC, steam lines, and building systems.

Shifts are 3PM-11:30PM with holidays and on-call and a rotating weekend schedule. Full-time position at 80 hours per pay period. Requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of hospital maintenance experience with the ability to read blueprints and operate welding equipment.

Qualifications

• Able to analyze a given situation and make minor decisions.
• Familiar with equipment, tools, methods, and techniques normally associated with maintenance work
• Ability to work well alone with no minimal supervision
• Able to read sketches, blueprints, weights, measures and equipment operations and service manuals.
• Ability to perform acetylene welding/cutting and electric arc welding.
• Able to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid operator’s license in order to travel to off-site locations.
• Ability to record data in a legible and accurate manner.

Responsabilités

• Maintains and repairs hospital equipment, boilers, pumps, HVAC systems, steam lines, valves, and building systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance and corrective actions as directed by supervisor.
• Operates and tests systems and equipment, ensuring safe and compliant operation.
• Reads blueprints and service manuals to diagnose problems and implement solutions.
• Maintains accurate logs and records of maintenance activities.
