Job summary

Bayhealth in Milford, Delaware, is seeking a skilled Mechanic responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of hospital mechanical equipment. You will work on chillers, cooling towers, medical air systems, and related equipment, performing preventative maintenance to ensure reliability.

The role requires at least four years in building or equipment maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record within the past 3 years.
Four years' experience in building or equipment maintenance and repair.
Preferred: 6040 Med Gas Certification.
May require working alternate shifts depending on staffing.

Responsibilities

Ensure reliability of building mechanical equipment by performing preventative and predictive maintenance.
Repair and install mechanical equipment to minimize unplanned work requests.
Monitor utility systems and maintain medical air systems, chillers, cooling towers and related equipment.
Complete all assigned work orders and preventative maintenance tasks to standard.
Report system deficiencies to management when repairs exceed capabilities.
Follow department safety procedures and use PPE as required.
Participate in emergencies related to weather, facility occurrences, and staffing needs.
