Job summary

Indiana University Health in Fort Wayne is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead hospital facility operations, oversee new construction, and manage maintenance programs to ensure safety, reliability and regulatory compliance.

You will direct projects, supervise a team of 5, manage budgets, coordinate with engineering, safety, and clinical staff, and ensure adherence to NFPA, JCAHO, OSHA standards while optimizing resource use.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's Degree in a technical or business discipline; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Deep knowledge of hazardous materials management, NFPA Life Safety Code, and regulatory requirements.
• Minimum 3 years leading teams and 5 years in HVAC, plumbing, electrical or utility systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and development of facilities and new construction.
• Direct projects to meet time frames, design, and budget.
• Oversee building systems: mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, elevators; manage contractors for renovations.
• Inspect construction, repairs, repairs, and maintenance to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
