Job summary

Children's Health in Plano, TX is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to read blueprints and perform preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems. You will respond to service requests, troubleshoot issues, and assist other maintenance staff to ensure patient and facility safety.

The role requires 1 year of related experience or vocational/technical education, with 3 years preferred, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Reads, understands and interprets blueprints, drawings, floor plans, and maintenance specifications.
• Performs minor routine and preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC and building systems.
• Assists other maintenance staff as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect and test hospital plan equipment and life/safety systems (fire extinguishers, detectors, doors, dampers, etc.).
• Perform HVAC inspections and minor repairs on unit ventilators, thermostats, grilles, plenums, and related components.
• Assist Electricians with duties and responsibilities.
