Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance, engineering and mechanical system support across hospital campuses and the Support Center. You will ensure buildings and equipment meet safety and regulatory standards, supporting safe patient care and a clean, functional environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma and at least 3 years in trade work (electric, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration).

Qualifications

3 years of trade work experience in electricity, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, or related fields.
HVAC certification and universal refrigeration certification preferred.
Knowledge of healthcare facility codes and safe operation.

Responsibilities

Performs planned and general maintenance on systems and equipment, including inspecting, testing, maintaining, installing, and repairing.
Maintains logs of all work in mechanical rooms and understands major building systems operations and valve locations.
Uses hand, diagnostic, and power tools relating to mechanical plant equipment with proper safety procedures.
Keeps tools, equipment, and mechanical rooms clean, safe, and organized.
Assists Engineering Coordinator in purchasing parts and supplies per departmental procedures.
Meets in-service requirements and complies with infection control, safety and OSHA standards.
