Job summary

Texas Children’s Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance across a wide range of trades including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, painting and carpentry. You will ensure a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors in hospital and clinic settings.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of general maintenance experience; hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Required High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required 2 years' experience as a general maintenance service-related technician.
Preferred hospital experience.

Responsibilities

Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on multiple systems and equipment to ensure a safe environment and operational reliability.
Performs inspections, maintenance, and repairs to facilities to provide a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Performs repairs to failed equipment within established standards and timeframes.
Maintains documentation of equipment problems and work orders.
Logs information in the maintenance system and reports major failures to the Manager.
Oversees repairs or modifications performed by contractors and demonstrates basic power and hand tool use.
