Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System is seeking a Facilities Maintenance professional to perform daily checks on HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and related systems. You will respond to work orders, schedule maintenance, and coordinate with supervisors and contractors.

The role involves repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment (chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, generators) and ensuring safety. English proficiency and on-call flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• Current journeyman, electrician, plumbing, HVAC or related Florida license preferred.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Available for on-call evenings and weekends when assigned.

Responsibilities

• Meets quality service standards by keeping work areas clean and safe.
• Performs routine maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting tasks.
• Inspects lighting, floors, walls, and ceilings and makes repairs as needed.
• Updates work orders in the maintenance system and documents actions.
