Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services team member to maintain clean, safe patient areas and support hospital operations. You will handle routine cleaning, disinfecting bathrooms, restocking supplies, and assisting staff to create a welcoming environment for patients, families and visitors.

Strong customer service skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English are required.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Able to comprehend verbal and written instructions in English.
• Able to communicate to request supplies and write identifying information.
• Housekeeping and/or maintenance experience preferred.
• Floor care experience preferred.
• Able to relate cooperatively and constructively with clients and co-workers.
• Ability to follow simple instructions to accomplish repetitive tasks.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned area, refilling carts, disposing trash, and disinfecting bathrooms.
• Disinfect emergency spills and ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and staff.
• Greet patients and families in a courteous manner.
• Perform terminal cleanings and deep cleaning when needed.
• Respond to calls and communications promptly.
