Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician in Wisconsin. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance on hospital facilities and patient care equipment, document work in the CMMS, and respond to emergencies promptly.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 2–4 years of equipment maintenance experience, with a valid driver’s license and basic computer skills. This role requires physical agility and teamwork in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills such as CMMS, building automation systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance per codes and standards; documents in CMMS.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, fans, boilers, etc.).
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair patient care equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables).
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems.
• Perform general maintenance in grounds, carpentry, painting, snow removal.
• Respond to emergencies (leaks, floods, power outages, equipment failures).
• Respond to building occupants, conduct zone maintenance rounds, and update on corrective actions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Inspect and repair fire doors, hardware, and firewalls.
• Read blueprints and maintenance manuals to gain knowledge for tasks.
