Job summary

Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to manage daily operations, preventive maintenance, and repairs of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems. You will apply knowledge of life safety, fire protection, and security to ensure operations run smoothly.

Ideal candidates hold a Minnesota boiler license or higher, and an electrician license (or plan to obtain within 90 days), with at least two years in building maintenance; strong English communication is

Qualifications

• Must have Minnesota Driver's License and driving record.
• Boiler's license or higher, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Registered Unlicensed Electrician or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• 2 years relevant work experience in building maintenance.
• Speak, read, and write English proficiently in a healthcare environment.
• Complete de-escalation and crisis prevention training annually.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations.
• Perform minor electrical and plumbing repair and troubleshooting.
• Maintain maintenance logs and records.
