Job summary

Mars Veterinary Health, part of the Mars Petcare family, seeks a Specialist, Hospital Facilities to support multiple hospitals from the Vancouver area. You will manage repairs, preventive maintenance, and capital projects, ensuring 100% hospital operations and compliance with lease obligations.

Qualifications

5 years of relevant professional experience and ability to read construction blueprints.
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Proficient troubleshooting ability in electrical, plumbing, casework and general building construction.
Preferred healthcare background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical).

Responsibilities

Lead hospital facility repairs and planned maintenance programs across facilities.
Manage contracted services and minor facility upgrade projects from receipt to completion.
Interpret lease language for landlord/tenant repair responsibility and coordinate with Lease Administration.
Interview, evaluate, negotiate and procure contractors for repairs and preventive maintenance services.
Coordinate with MVH field leaders and hospital teams to ensure continuous operations and timely project completion.
