Job summary

Mars Veterinary Health is looking for a Hospital Maintenance Technician to uphold facility standards across the Norfolk region. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment servicing to ensure safe, compliant hospital environments.

Responsibilities include managing work orders, coordinating across teams, and communicating project updates. This full-time role requires routing travel within MVH guidelines and a focus on high-quality, timely service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Facilities Management or a similar field preferred.
• Three years of experience in Construction or Maintenance required.
• Working knowledge of building construction terms, blueprints, electrical, plumbing, and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify, manage, perform, measure, schedule and track facility repair and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Paint, cabinetry, drywall, plumbing, electrical, lighting, flooring maintenance and repairs.
• Manage in-house maintenance work orders, scheduling, timelines and communication with hospitals and managers.
• Coordinate painting contractors and ensure work meets standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance on medical equipment.
• Inspect and report facility damages and construction variances.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance materials and coordinate travel as needed.
