Job summary

North Texas Rehabilitation Institute in Plano, TX seeks a Director of Facilities Management to oversee daily operations of hospital buildings, grounds, and mechanical/electrical systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA, OSHA, and Joint Commission standards.

You will hire, train, supervise building service staff and act as Safety Officer, driving emergency management and facility safety initiatives within a patient-care environment.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience required.
• Four years related work experience or completion of approved, accredited trade school program or apprenticeship preferred.
• Certification or licensing of plumbing, HVAC, air conditioning, or electrician preferred.
• FEMA National Incident Management IC S100 & IC S200 preferred completion within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• The Director of Facilities Management is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of hospital buildings, grounds, and mechanical/electrical systems.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, NFPA, OSHA and Joint Commission regulations and standards.
• Hires, trains, supervises and terminates building service personnel.
• Serves as the hospital’s Safety Officer and leads the Emergency Management Program.
