Job summary

Saint Mary's Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking a skilled carpenter to join our Engineering team on the Day Shift in Waterbury, CT. You will perform construction, renovation and repair of hospital facilities, install drywall, trim, flooring, doors and fixtures, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Minimum five years carpentry experience; High School diploma required; healthcare setting preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience; healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and/or construct partitions, countertops, doors, metal and wooden windows, furniture, building framework (metal or wood), sub-flooring and sheathing.
• Install, tape, and finish drywall; install wood trim and molding as needed.
• Install and repair flooring (carpet, raised floors, vinyl tile, ceramic tile, sheet vinyl).
• Replace and install glass windows and pictures, ceiling tiles, cement forms, perimeter rail systems; maintain hardware.
• Repair and install various lock sets, panic hardware, and keying systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
