Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's MidState Medical Center in Meriden seeks a skilled carpenter to build, repair and maintain hospital structures and components, using hand and power tools and following safety standards.

You will install and tear down materials to meet project specs, repair furniture, and ensure work complies with codes and plans. Apprenticeship or equivalent experience required; at least one year carpentry experience, healthcare or commercial setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of carpentry experience; healthcare or commercial carpentry preferred.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Builds, repairs and maintains facility structures using hand and power tools.
• Installs and dismantles materials to meet project specs.
• Ensures work meets applicable codes, standards and plans.
• Maintains job site safety and a clean environment.
