Job summary

Bronson Healthcare is seeking an Environmental Services Associate for 16 hours per week on the 1st shift (7:00 am–3:30 pm) at South Haven Hospital. Under supervision, you’ll help maintain patient rooms, public areas, and operating spaces, following infection control standards and Bronson policies to support a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.

The role emphasizes independent work, clear English communication, strong customer service, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently.
• Must communicate (verbal and written) in English at or above the 8th grade level.
• Must possess interpersonal skills that represent Bronson in a positive and professional manner.
• Must exhibit excellent customer service skills, thoroughness and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain environmental and infection control standards within patient rooms, public areas, surgical areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Stock supplies and clean and maintain equipment as required.
• Provide services to internal and external customers following policies and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate information and requests clearly to staff and callers; deliver exceptional service to patients, staff, families and visitors.
• Follow isolation procedures and cleaning standards as defined by the department manual.
