Job summary

Bronson Healthcare in Michigan is seeking an Environmental Services Associate for the 1st shift (16 hours/week) at Bronson Lakeview Hospital. Under supervision, you’ll clean patient rooms, public areas, and surgical spaces, stock supplies, and maintain equipment while following policies.

You will follow regulatory standards, support infection control, and collaborate with nurses and staff to deliver safe, welcoming care environments.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently.
• Must be able to communicate (verbally and in writing) in English at or above the 8th grade level with staff and customers.
• Must possess interpersonal skills that represent Bronson in a positive and professional manner.
• Must exhibit excellent customer service skills, thoroughness and time management skills.
• Must be able to comfortably accept delegation and negotiate task priorities.

Responsibilities

• Performs all cleaning functions involved in daily general cleaning of patient rooms, operating rooms and related areas.
• Maintains knowledge of and complies with relevant laws and regulations (CDC, OSHA, EPA, Joint Commission).
• Operates UV disinfection equipment and cleaning machinery as required.
• Communicates with registered nurses and patient care staff; documents tasks.
• Restocks supplies and coordinates with department coordinator as needed.
