Medical City Decatur is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to join our hospital team. You will play a frontline role in infection prevention, cleaning patient rooms, therapy areas, offices, restrooms and public spaces with appropriate products and protective gear.

You will work with clinical staff, communicate effectively in English, and collaborate with other departments to maintain a safe, healing environment.

Qualificações

• Healthcare or service-related industry experience is highly preferred
• Experience working with hazardous waste materials is a plus
• Must have good communication skills with the ability to speak and understand both the written and oral English language
• Must have the proven ability to work and cooperate with team members and with other departments, as necessary

Responsabilidades

• Performs routine cleaning and care for an assigned area, including linen room and waste handling.
• Disinfect patient rooms, offices, restrooms and other public areas daily using proper products and gear.
• Remove trash, dirty linen and sharps containers from rooms and hospital locations.
• Follow procedures for safe disposal of infectious and hazardous waste materials.
