Job summary

Butler Hospital is hiring an Environmental Services Technician to clean and service assigned areas in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition. The role reports to the EVS Manager and involves daily disinfection, restocking supplies, waste removal, and operating cleaning equipment.

This is a union, part-time position with 24 hours weekly and a schedule that includes every other weekend and holidays. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are preferred, with on-the-job training

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions. On the job training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a cleaning cart in an orderly condition and keeps it stocked with required supplies.
• Responsible for removal of all waste including regular rubbish, cardboard, recycle confidential paper, hazardous material.
• Follow proper procedures concerning hazardous waste disposal and handling.
• Cleans and disinfects restrooms completely.
• Replenishes all supplies: soap, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and paper towels.
