Job summary

Androscoggin Valley Hospital (AVH) seeks an EVS Technician to maintain a clean and safe hospital environment. This float role covers multiple areas on evening and night shifts, following procedures and using approved chemicals.

Under general direction, you will be responsible for cleaning patient rooms, nursing units, offices, and clinical areas, reporting to the Environmental Services Manager. Experience in healthcare EVS is preferred; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write and understand written documents.
• Ability to read housekeeping schedules and follow directions.
• After training, work independently with little supervision.
• Prior EVS experience in a Healthcare Facility preferred.
• Strong inter-personal skills; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lounges, restrooms and corridors.
• Demonstrates use of appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Maintains hospital environment in a clean and safe manner as directed by EVS policy.
• Float position; works in multiple areas on evening and/or night shift.
