Job summary

North Country Healthcare is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to clean hospital areas, follow infection control procedures, and use approved chemicals according to protocol. This float position requires flexibility to work in multiple areas during the evening or night shift.

The role supports patient safety by maintaining a clean, safe environment and reporting to the Environmental Services Manager.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is not required, but reading, understanding written documents and writing skills are necessary.
• Ability to read housekeeping schedules and follow oral directions.
• After training, able to work independently with little supervision.
• Prior EVS experience in a Healthcare Facility preferred.
• Strong inter-personal skills.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans all areas of the hospital including patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms and corridors.
• Demonstrates proper use of chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Repairs to infection control and safety standards under supervision.
• Float position, works in multiple areas during evening and/or night shift.
• Reports to the Manager of Environmental Services.
