Job summary

The EVS Lead at Norwalk Hospital Association provides high-level housekeeping oversight to maintain hospital standards. You will train staff, assign special projects, and ensure areas are cleaned per department procedures.

The role requires English communication, 2+ years in healthcare or hospitality EVS, and supervisory experience is a plus. You will oversee weekday, weekend, and holiday tasks with focus on safety and infection control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English required.
• 2+ years of experience in environmental services healthcare or hospitality.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of environmental services functions and maintains a safe and clean environment by performing daily rounds and inspections.
• Utilizes industrial cleaning machinery to perform cleaning assignments.
• Uses chemicals per procedure, diluting to proper ratios and securing when not in use.
• Follows infection control practices including hand hygiene, Standard Precautions and isolation precautions.
• Observes and reports need for repairs to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures; collaborates with management to address issues.
• Schedules, plans and implements special projects as needed.
• Trains EVS associates on new processes and equipment.
• Provides leadership, support and training to housekeeping staff and reassigns staff as needed.
• Coordinates and oversees all assigned tasks on weekdays, weekends and holidays.
• Provides input for EVS staff reviews and monitors performance.
