Job summary

Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Jefferson Health, seeks an Environmental Services Associate to keep patient areas clean, safe, and orderly. You will follow schedules, use proper methods to prevent cross-contamination, and assist with moves, supplies, and waste removal.

Weekend Day shifts are required (Sat-Sun-Mon 7:00 AM–3:30 PM). Prior healthcare housekeeping is preferred but not required; HS diploma is suggested. Commitment to safety and high standards is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year in healthcare housekeeping preferred.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains clean, sanitary, and safe environment in assigned work areas.
• Proper disposal of biohazards according to EPA and OSHA codes.
• Handle disposal of environmental contaminants such as batteries and needles.
• Maintain biohazard and loading areas safe and clean of debris.
• Maintains equipment, carts, and supply closets to present a professional appearance.
• Complies with PPE requirements for protection against exposure to hazards.
• Follows hand hygiene and safety policies.
• Responds to pages and performs other duties as assigned.
