Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, restrooms, and other hospital areas according to department procedures.

You will move furniture for cleaning, replenish supplies, follow infection control and safety rules, and communicate courteously with patients, families and staff to maintain a safe, welcoming environment. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Able to operate small electrical equipment such as vacuum cleaners.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect and sanitize assigned areas following department procedures.
• Move furniture and equipment for cleaning and maintain orderly spaces.
• Collect trash and waste; separate recycling as required.
• Follow infection control policies and safety procedures to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Communicate courteously with patients, families and staff to support a welcoming environment.
