Job summary

Melrose/Wakefield Hospital, part of the Tufts Medicine system, seeks a skilled Environmental Services professional for housekeeping supervision and daily facilities support. You will oversee shift coverage, inspect rooms, and coordinate department tasks to ensure a clean, safe environment.

Minimum one year of related experience is required; a high school diploma is preferred. This full-time role includes evening shifts, benefits starting day one, and opportunities for growth within the hospital

Qualifications

• One year of related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three years of related experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Bilingual (if applicable) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes weekly projects and coordinates tasks for shift leads.
• Ensures staff are equipped and supplied to complete tasks.
• Follows infection control, chemical control and safety procedures.
• Performs shift check-in and rounds through facility.
• Operates heavy-duty cleaning equipment and floor machines.
• Maintains inventory records for laundry services and reports shortages.
• Performs room setups and furniture moves as needed.
• Maintains professionalism and safety in difficult situations.
