Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services team member to clean, disinfect, and maintain patient and non-patient areas. You will follow infection prevention guidelines, remove waste, and support a safe, welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

This full-time, second-shift role (3:00 PM–11:30 PM, Monday–Friday) requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus 0–1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Experience: related experience 0-1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient and non-patient areas according to established schedules and infection prevention guidelines.
• Remove and dispose of waste safely and in accordance with hospital procedures.
• Maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition at all times.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed to support departmental operations and cleaning activities.
• Operate environmental services equipment, including floor machines and buffers.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Participate in departmental meetings and ongoing training as required.
• Work collaboratively with hospital staff to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues.
