Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a dedicated environmental services worker to perform standardized cleaning in patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas, following established chemical procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include high-dusting, sanitizing, waste removal, floor care, equipment handling, and adherence to privacy and infection control policies, with attention to attendance and professional image.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate power equipment.
• FIT testing may be required, but provided upon hire as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform standardized cleaning in patient rooms, offices, departments and other areas using proper procedures.
• Clean multiple areas including high dusting, sanitizing, bathroom cleaning, waste removal, dry mopping, wet mopping and floor sanitizing.
• Return and manage equipment, keep storage areas clean and organized.
• Adhere to safety, infection control policies, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, HIPAA) and attend trainings.
• Support departmental programs, maintain professional image, and follow attendance policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
