Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a dedicated cleaning technician to perform standardized cleaning in patient rooms, offices, and related areas using established procedures. You will follow chemical usage guidelines, handle waste, and ensure sanitary conditions across multiple departments.

The role requires adherence to safety and infection-control policies and involves supporting additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate power equipment.
• FIT testing may be required, but provided upon hire as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete standardized cleaning in patient rooms, offices, departments and other areas using proper cleaning procedures.
• Follow cleaning procedures and proper chemical usage; perform high dusting, sanitizing, bathroom cleaning, waste removal, mopping and floor upkeep.
• Return and manage equipment after cleaning with disinfectant; maintain storage areas and cleanliness.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, PPE, and department policies; participate in training and performance improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
