Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a dedicated cleaning professional to perform standardized cleaning in patient rooms, offices, departments and ancillary areas. You will ensure continuity of patient care and daily operations by cleaning patient rooms, discharge areas and office spaces, while refilling dispensers and collecting receptacles.

Responsibilities

• Performs timely patient room cleaning and provides cleaning support to the various departments; cleans daily in all areas including discharge cleaning, patient room cleaning, cycle cleaning, office cleaning and all ancillary area cleaning to ensure continuity and efficiency of patient care and daily operations.
• Cleans assigned building exteriors and refills dispensers; collects all receptacles.
• Completes project work such as wall washing, trash removal, biohazardous linens and sharps container removal; assists with hospital emergency cleanup.
• Participates in Patient Satisfaction initiatives to meet department goals.
• Adheres to hospital safety standards in the use of chemicals, equipment, and machinery and clearly marks hazardous areas.
• Follows hospital policies, procedures, rules and regulations and performs other duties as assigned.
