Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a cleaning associate to perform standardized cleaning in patient rooms, offices and ancillary areas to support daily operations and patient care. You will handle discharge cleaning, cycle cleaning and room turnover with attention to safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities include completing assigned projects, participating in patient satisfaction initiatives, and ensuring proper handling of waste and hazardous materials in a compliant manner.

Qualifications

• FIT testing may be required.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs timely patient room cleaning and provides cleaning support to departments; cleans daily in all areas including discharge, patient rooms, offices and ancillary areas.
• Completes projects such as wall washing, trash removal and biohazardous waste handling as assigned.
• Participates in Patient Satisfaction initiatives to meet department goals.
• Adheres to hospital safety standards in the use of chemicals, equipment and machinery and marks hazardous areas.
• Follows hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
