Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Cleaning Associate to support hospital operations through dedicated room and area cleaning. The role covers patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas, including discharge cleaning and exterior cleaning, with emphasis on safety and compliance with HIPAA policies.

You will participate in patient satisfaction efforts and follow all safety and regulatory guidelines. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

• FIT testing may be required, but provided upon hire as needed.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs timely patient room cleaning and supports departments; cleans daily in discharge, rooms, offices, and ancillary areas.
• Completes project work such as wall washing, trash removal, biohazardous waste handling.
• Participates in Patient Satisfaction initiatives to meet department goals.
• Adheres to hospital safety standards when using chemicals and equipment.
• Follows hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
