Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and sterile environment across the facility. You will perform routine cleaning, proper waste disposal, and ensure equipment and furnishings meet infection control standards.

Responsibilities include following hospital policies, operating floor machines and buffers, and participating in safety trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 0-1 year related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply them safely.
• Working knowledge of cleaning tools like vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning in accordance with hospital policies and infection prevention protocols.
• Remove and dispose of regular, recyclable, and hazardous waste according to guidelines.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies to support operations.
• Operate environmental services equipment such as floor machines and buffers safely.
• Maintain hospital facilities in a neat, orderly condition to support safety.
• Attend departmental meetings and trainings; participate in safety initiatives.
• Follow all safety PPE requirements and infection control standards.
