Job summary

WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services worker to maintain clean, orderly areas across the facility. Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, public areas, and procedure spaces, removing trash, replenishing supplies, and helping with bed making under established procedures.

Must adhere to safety and sanitation rules and wear PPE as required. The role requires the ability to schedule tasks based on hospital operations and to interact tactfully with guests and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to wear PPE for extended periods.
• Ability to read and follow written work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and ensures areas are clean and in good repair; report problems to supervisor.
• Cleans all assigned areas including patient rooms, exam rooms, offices and bathrooms.
• Removes trash from all assigned areas.
• Replenishes paper towels, toilet paper, and soap.
• Makes beds in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Maintains equipment in clean, working condition; report problems.
• Moves equipment, furniture and supplies as assigned.
• Follows all safety and sanitation regulations.
