Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH seeks an Environmental Services Floor Technician to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for patients, visitors, and staff. This role helps infection prevention and supports hospital operations through floor care and environmental duties.

You will work independently and with a team as part of Mass General Brigham, with a full-time schedule Sunday–Thursday, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM, onsite at 789 Central Avenue.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience with cleaning equipment used in hospitals.
• Previous floor care or custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to operate floor care equipment or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors throughout the hospital.
• Operate high- and low-speed stripping and buffing machines.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets in assigned areas.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, equipment, and woodwork.
• Clean walls, ceilings, windows, blinds, door glass, and related surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and replenish supplies.
• Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles.
• Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for hospital events and daily operations.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns.
