Yale New Haven Health Services Corp. Bridgeport Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to uphold cleanliness and infection control standards in patient rooms, lounges, and clinical areas.

Under the EVS Supervisor, you will follow established cleaning procedures, operate safety protocols, and assist in maintaining a safe, comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required; English proficiency is essential to perform

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings as required by the client.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as part of the job.
• Ability to use supplies, tools and equipment properly without waste or neglect.

Responsibilities

• CLEANING TECHNIQUES: perform cleaning in assigned areas following schedules and methods.
• MAINTENANCE & CLEANLINESS: complete cleaning assignments and maintain equipment.
• SAFETY: adhere to safety policies and use protective devices as required.
• ADDITIONAL TASKS: perform any additional assignments as directed and attend meetings.
