Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health, is hiring an Environmental Services Technician to support patient-centered care through thorough cleaning of patient rooms, lounges, and clinic spaces. You will follow strict infection-control procedures and safety guidelines while performing daily cleaning tasks as directed by the EVS supervisor.

Strong English communication, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to understand and speak English to perform duties safely.
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings as required by the client.
• Experience with cleaning and using cleaning equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, clinics, corridors, and other areas.
• Follow infection control procedures and safety policies at all times.
• Maintain and operate cleaning equipment and report repairs as needed.
• Assist with disinfection, floor care, and adherence to room turnover schedules.
