Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a Full-time Supervisor, Environmental Services for day shift from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The role supports the manager by planning, organizing, and supervising department activities to maintain a clean, safe environment. CHEST certification is required for existing staff by 7/31/2019 and new hires by 8/1/2016 must obtain CHEST within two years of hire.

Qualifications

• 1 year of supervisory experience required.
• 2 years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Some college is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating and controlling department activities to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Provide assistance and act as a technical resource within the team.
• Contribute to department success through effective work coordination and resource management.
• Support and communicate Sentara mission, values, goals, and directions to assigned team members.
