Job summary

Wheeling Hospital, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services worker to clean and maintain patient areas, offices and public spaces. The role requires following established procedures, reporting issues to supervision, and ensuring supplies are stocked in all areas.

Responsibilities include bed making, equipment upkeep, and adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to perform cleaning tasks and operate floor equipment.
Ability to read and follow written work assignments.
Ability to be scheduled for work based on hospital needs.
Must demonstrate tactful, harmonious interaction with guests.

Responsibilities

Inspect and ensure assigned areas are clean and in good repair; report problems to supervisor.
Clean patient rooms, exam rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, OR rooms, offices and equipment.
Remove trash from all assigned areas.
Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations.
Make beds in discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
Maintain equipment in clean, working condition; report problems.
Move equipment, furniture, and other items as assigned.
Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
