Job summary

Wheeling Hospital seeks an Environmental Services staff member to perform cleaning and maintenance across patient and clinical areas, following established procedures and safety guidelines.

The role includes cleaning patient rooms, offices, and common spaces, restocking supplies, making beds, and reporting issues to supervisors. Must be able to handle physical tasks and operate cleaning equipment in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
• Attention to detail and ability to report issues to supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and ensures assigned areas are clean and in good repair.
• Cleans patient rooms, exam rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, OR rooms, offices and equipment following procedures.
• Removes trash from all assigned areas.
• Replenishes supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, soap) to ensure adequate stock.
• Makes beds in patient discharge and on-call rooms per procedures.
• Maintains and reports condition of equipment; assists with moves as assigned.
• Follows safety and sanitation regulations.
