Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health, is seeking an Environmental Services Technician. This role supports patient care by maintaining clean, safe, and comfortable spaces across patient rooms, lounges, and corridors in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Under supervision, you will follow Sodexho Marriott and hospital cleaning standards, practice safe chemical use, and participate in routine trainings.

Qualifications

• Must pass all pre-employment screenings as required by the client.
• Ability to understand and speak English at a level that allows for safe efficient performance of assigned duties.
• Must demonstrate ability to use supplies, tools and equipment properly without waste or neglect.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges and restrooms according to procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work stations; report repairs.
• Follow safety policies and use protective devices and chemicals correctly.
• Attend scheduled meetings and trainings as directed by supervisor/manager.
