Crothall Healthcare in Chicago seeks an Assistant Director of Environmental Services to lead the housekeeping department and coordinate tasks of Operations Managers. You will liaise between administration and hospital departments to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities include setting standards, scheduling, hiring, training, supervising staff, and assisting with budgets. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a strong focus on quality and customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work history required.
• Working knowledge of housekeeping procedures preferred.
• Demonstrated progressive growth in healthcare housekeeping facility maintenance.
• Strong work ethic, initiative for quality and customer service.
• Excellent written and oral communication, listening and empathy.
• Ability to manage staff and develop budgets with facility needs and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and reviews housekeeping standards and procedures.
• Plans work schedules and assigns duties for housekeeping staff.
• Recruits, hires, evaluates, and terminates staff per policy.
• Orients, trains, and supervises all housekeeping personnel.
• Conducts inspections and coordinates with other departments.
• Assists director with budgets and inventory management.
