Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a housekeeping/maintenance aide to maintain sanitary and orderly areas in a hospital setting under direct supervision. Winner candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and be able to obtain GBMC or training certification within 6 months.

Six months of direct patient care experience is required to understand patient activities and protocols. Pay ranges from $15.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Read and write English to follow cleaning procedures.
• Ability to work under time constraints and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication with patients, visitors, staff and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned hospital area in a sanitary and orderly condition per policies.
• Follow instructions regarding cleaning and maintenance of operating rooms, equipment and supplies.
