Job summary

Dayton Children's Hospital is seeking a Housekeeper on the Environmental Services team for the 2nd shift. You will perform terminal cleaning of rooms after discharge and maintain cleanliness of nursing units, surgical areas, offices, labs, waiting areas and restrooms.

The role requires 0–3 years of experience (GED/high school diploma preferred). Shift is 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM with rotating weekends and holidays. Training provided on cleaning chemicals and safety.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma preferred.
• 0–3 years experience preferred in a hospital or cleaning role.
• Ability to follow safety and cleaning procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform terminal cleaning of rooms after patient discharge.
• Clean nursing units, surgical areas, offices, labs, waiting areas and restrooms.
• Make beds, empty trash, wipe equipment, vacuum carpets, and launder hospital linen.
• Inspect and inventory housekeeping equipment daily.
