Job summary

Dayton Children's Hospital – Main Campus is seeking a Housekeeper to perform terminal cleaning of rooms after patient discharge and to maintain cleanliness of nursing units, surgical areas, offices, labs, waiting areas and restrooms.

The Housekeeper will receive training on cleaning chemicals and will demonstrate competency in proper usage and safety measures to ensure a clean and safe hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• The Housekeeper performs terminal cleaning of rooms after patients are discharged.
• The Housekeeper cleans nursing units, surgical areas, offices, labs, waiting areas and public restrooms.
• Duties include making beds, emptying trash, wiping equipment, cleaning furniture, polishing floors, vacuuming carpets, cleaning restrooms, laundering hospital linen, and inventory of housekeeping equipment.
