Job summary

Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Aide Level I to provide a clean, sanitary, and pleasant environment that supports high-quality patient care. This role is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit and reports to the Supervisor, Environmental Services.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 5:00am to 1:30pm with rotating holidays; Location: 30 Locust Street; Onsite work location; Regular employee type.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of environmental services/housekeeping experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions required.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and high-quality customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Clean ceilings, horizontal surfaces, spot clean walls, furnishings, and floors in assigned areas to high cleanliness and disinfection standards.
• Sanitize bathrooms and restock expendable items daily.
• Dry mop and damp mop floors, vacuum floors thoroughly in assigned areas.
• Collect and transport trash to specified collection areas per regulations.
• Clean facility entrances including door glass and windows; hang draperies and blinds.
• Move patient beds as requested and prepare meeting rooms.
• Change sharps containers upon request and respond to pager notifications promptly.
• Follow safety practices and infection control policies in all duties.
