Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Cooley Dickinson Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Aide Level I to maintain a clean, sanitary environment across patient care areas, isolation rooms, and offices. This role reports to the Environmental Services Supervisor and supports infection control aims.

The position follows a Monday–Friday 5:00am–1:30pm schedule with holidays and requires attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years environmental services/ housekeeping experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Clean ceilings, horizontal surfaces, walls, furnishings and floors in patient care units and common areas to high standards of cleanliness and disinfection.
• Sanitize bathrooms and restock expendable items daily and as needed.
• Move patient beds, prepare meeting rooms, and handle sharps containers as requested.
• Follow safety practices and infection control policies during duties.
• Monitor department pager and respond to requests in a timely manner.
